COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – OCTOBER 25, 2017 – The tragedy that is occurring in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria is sadly, fast becoming old news. However, Anthony Semadeni, a Colorado Springs business owner asked himself how could he help…and how could he get his neighbors to help.

Semadeni sent out emails and posted on Facebook his thoughts about Puerto Rico. Speaking from the heart, he urged fellow business owners to take notice of the critical needs that begins with clean water, then food and medicine. “I’m talking about what the average man, woman and child needs to just survive. The island nation itself has a bigger problem of re-establishing the basic infrastructure, but that’s a whole other level of problem solving. I want to help out as many people in need that I can, whether that by 1, 10, 100 or more,” said Semadeni.

As owner of a digital marketing agency for the past 7 years, Semadeni’s Business Checkup staff also joined his crusade by promising to help cost share in a donation drive. Reaching out to the business community and asking them to donate up to $300 directly to a Puerto Rico relief fund of their choice, Business Checkup will then credit them back dollar-for-dollar up to $300 when they purchase services of $600 or more.

“In essence,” says Anthony Semadeni, “myself as well as my technical and sales staff have all jumped into the idea of sharing with the Puerto Rico relief, and the way we can do that is by splitting off our profits on new service sales and crediting them back to business owners who make donations to help the people of Puerto Rico. Seems like a win-win-win to us.”
